When the Cape Doctor turns on, the south-easter blows Cape Town hard from November to March. It usually builds from late morning and nukes by mid-afternoon. The Atlantic here is cold, the swell is real and Table Mountain sits in every photo. If you'd rather have flat, warmer water, drive north to Langebaan lagoon.
