Wind

The NE trades blow side-onshore, steady and usually 15–25 kn. Summer is the most reliable. Winter brings fewer wind days but more swell on the outer reefs.

Water & level

Sandy beach and bottom, with chop and a small wave on most days. It's a forgiving spot to progress at, which is why several schools operate here. When the swell is up, experienced riders head to the outer reefs for waves.

Launch & rules

There's lots of open sand to launch and land. Keep a safe distance from swimmers on the town side, and don't walk or drive into the protected dunes of the Parque Natural de Corralejo.

Watch out

The occasional gusty day, a rocky point at the far end, and drifting towards Lobos if you get into trouble. Ride with a school's rescue boat around if you're unsure.

Live wind

Live readings come straight from the station owners via the embedded widgets. Stations go offline sometimes; if a reading looks frozen, check the time stamp.
