Same trades as El Médano, but they have to wrap around Montaña Roja first. Close to the mountain it's gusty and holey, further west along the beach it's cleaner and more side-shore. More easterly days are the good ones here. Usually 16–30 kn on summer days. Locals come here when El Médano is overcrowded or when they want waves.
Water & level
Open Atlantic beach with swell, a proper shorebreak and a quickly deepening bottom. Fun for wave riding and big jumps, but not a place to learn. Self-rescue skills and a solid relaunch are a must.
Launch & rules
There are no kite schools or facilities. Launch with a buddy on the open sand away from sunbathers. The eastern end of the beach is a naturist area, and the mountain is a protected nature reserve, so don't climb it with gear.
Watch out
Shorebreak on landings, rips when the swell is up, wind shadow from Montaña Roja and no rescue boat. If in doubt, ride El Médano.
